Colin was honored by the queen of Britain !

It is a very lucky and very successful year of Colin Firth who is the latest Academy award winning in best actor for his performance, King George VI in The king's speech. And now he was in the list of honor for the Queen's birthday. He will be received CBE, Commander of the order of the British Empire. It's just one step lower than a knighthood ! Hope, in few next year he will become "Sir Colin Firth" because he deserves it. Is there anything he can't be ? He is a British great actor like nation treasure, he is political science author, he has been involved in many campaign such as Oxfam and he is environment friendly, he is owner Eco store in London as "Eco Age" So, Congratulations ! Colin Firth, You're greatest man on Earth !

I have to Congratulate to Colin Firth, Tom Hooper, David Seilder,The King's speech and all winners for their Academy award winning ! how awesome !

For The King's speech's screen play writer, David Seidler, he did a very nice speech on the stage. I like the ending speech that he said "We have a voice, we've been heard" that a great one

For the Oscar's Director and DGA winner, Tom Hooper, how nice and how humor he is in the speech. The way he said about "the 3 men love" and he knew how Helena feel and tease her in this way is smart. And he said about his mom, he did TKS because his mom told him about it. I'm wondering if he didn't listen to his mom, what will happen toThe king's speech? ทั้งหมดทั้งมวลของเมื่อวาน รู้สึกแย่นิดหน่อยกับซับไตเติ้ล การถอดความมันดูแห้งๆไปนิด ถ้าแปลทั้งหมดแล้วถอดความสละสลวยกว่านี้มันน่าจะทำให้คนไทยทั้งประเทศได้เข้าถึงอรรถรสของหนังมากกว่านี้ แต่ก็ไม่เป็นไร ดีกว่าต้องมานั่งอ่านซับอังกฤษแล้วแปลเอง ลำบากก! ส่วนอย่างอื่นก็ประทับใจสุดๆที่ได้ดูหนังของ คอลิน เฟิร์ธ หลังจากเสียดายที่ปีที่แล้ว A Single Man ไม่ได้เข้าฉาย เรื่องนั้น เฟิร์ธ ก็เล่นได้ดราม่าสุดๆ เหมือนกัน สมแล้วกับที่ได้รับเกียรติจาก Hollywood walk of fame เป็นดาวดวงที่ 2429 ปีนี้ถือว่าเป็นปีของเขาเลยก็ว่าได้

The King's speech's special screening in Bangkok

After all day long for heading to my best friends graduated ceremony at Bangkok University, tonight I got the very very special 2 tickets for The king's speech's screening in Bangkok. I've to say I'm not a critic, I'm Firth's fan. Therefore, I will not comment this movie just say about what I'm thinking.

I walked to the theater, Scala, around 7 pm. There were many people stay in line for registrations, so I'm out to suck my cig then I went to register again, I got 2 tickets ! then waiting for my friend....ok! I skipped all activities while waiting to the screening. The theater was full of the audiences who I thought they were interesting in this movie same me, I don't know may be some audiences may be the critic or not? but I saw a famous director in Thailand was here and I saw on board "this special screening is for the journalist, critic and people who is interesting." I'm in the third choice.

The King's speech started with the scene we've seen in the trailer which is King George VI's first speech at the Empire Exhibition , most people in the room was quite and staring concentrically because we had to read Thai subtitle. The movie was continue and people was still quite until scene the king meets Logue , I heard some giggle and laugh (I'm the one who is giggle) and some one still reading subtitle :), The big problem of Thai people while watching foreign movie is language, we did not used to. As I read Thai sub, I think there were a lot of mistakes I didn't blame the translator but I think it should be better or this sub is not complete yet ? because It will be released in limited in February,3 (P.S I'm not fluent in English but I felt it's not that translation!!!!)

The most like scene I measured from the response in the room could be the scene that The king sware and Logue tease him and another scene that made people smile on their mouth could be plane scene that is Logue allowed him to play with his boys's plane.

But for me, the very touching scenes were the scene he told Logue about his painful when he was young, about a nanny who hated him and punished him, terribly sad. And the scene that he is crying and said to his adorable wife, Elizabet, "I'm not a king, I'm a naval officer" It's almost make me cry. If I were him and stammer like him I couldn't go over my fear about speak publicly for sure ! and I wouldn't bear with someone who mimic about my stammer but He braves ! and more brave than his older brother.

For the overall in my feeling, This movie is better than The Social Network and other nominated or not ? I don't know, hard to judge but I love Colin Firth, he is my favorite actor who inspires me to learn English because I need to know what is he saying. For the cast, Geoffrey Rush did a good job. When his character and the king are speaking and replying each other was the amazing scene, it's full of funny, teasingly and truthfully. His role fulfills the film about the relationship between commoner and The King then became friendship forever. I don't know why the voters look over him, he should win award for his role. Helena Bonham Carter is amazing as well, she looks strong in the role King's wife who is support her husband everything and stand beside him even worse moment in his life that makes the character is more adorable and fulfills the film as well. Then, Colin Firth who will win all race awards including the Oscar (bias alert!!!) he makes the audiences believed that he is The King of England who is stammer, real stammer not fake! and never want to be the king. He get in to the character and play it flawlessly. I don't know exactly about the definition of BEST ACTOR but I can image when I watched him in this film.

Ok! Time to bed, my all day long is end. I have 2 hours for sleeping before heading to plant. Before I'm going to bed I want to salute 12 Oscar nominations for The King's speech...God save the King ! and God bless me no go to work late as well :)

That's all my feeling when I saw him holding a Golden Globe in his hands. He's well deserved I know Firthfans are waiting for so long until last year that he got many nominations for his well-deserved -as well A Single Man but he lose all to Jeff Bridgets who is American favorite ( also I love him in the Big Lebowsky, The Dude) For this year, Everything go so well for him, he is absolutely dominant for his portraying the King of England, King George VI ( Steve Carell pronounced at The Golden Globe King George V--I, joking !) in every MAJOR AWARDS include with The Critic' Choice Movie Awards (WON), The Golden Globe Awards (WON), Screen Actors Guild Awards (Nominee, haven't announced yet) and I guess he will be nominated from BAFTA and The Academy for sure, England love him and the Academy loves the royal portraying!

The film has been getting many praises from the critics in Europe and America and Colin Firth as well, he get along with the film and he just got his pavement area on Holly walk of fame star at 2429, that's good ! This year I would love to call "FIRTH YEAR"

But, I hope no one can't beat him for all majors, don't want to think about the last 2 years that Sean Penn won Oscar and SAG but Micky Rourke won GG and BAFTA. This year as I see it could be James Franco and don't look over Jesse Eisenberg who can beat him anytime, but I think Colin Firth is more strong power than both of them, the judgements would be rethinking for looking over him last year and throw everything to Jeff Bridgets, I would be told He was robbed last year, many people thought the same way with me. JUST MY OPINION ! HE WON I'M OK ! IF HE DID WIN, I'M SICK!

Colin Firth won Critics Choice Awards

A few hours ago, he just won best actor ! I don't know yet it was a good sign that he going to win best actor in the next 2 days, The Golden Globe ! Hopeful he should win for last year for his performance in A single man! whatever, I leaved that shit for the last year. This year he has to be won ! I found on twitter he said " tomorrow is open season again, so i will wear this (Award) around my neck as a talisman for magical power as we entry the fray" Ok! He won won won ! I'm so happy :)

Finally, he got his pavement area in front the british pub, Pig & whistle on Hollywood blvd. I'm so happy to see him was honored truly deserved it! The ceremony is not quite interesting,I thought it was Hollywood old style that is everyone come to honor him in way that so pleased and nice but the most interesting for me is his speech! Colin was introduced by his brother in The king's speech, Guy Pearce. I was wondered why is was Guy? I think it should be another one who close to him, know him to well or his best friend in Hollywood like Stanley Tucci, Julianne Moore, his previous dir. Tom ford, Meryl Streep or his Bridge, Renee Zellweger! That would be more interested! But anything can't change Guy is good as he did. I saw Colin smiling while Guy is speaking, his eyes on Guy is so kind and pleased with tender smile, amazing! And then the most interested moment, his speech! Colin looks happy and nerved (I think that because he speaks jerking)He thanks to everyone who accompanies with him and specially to his beloved wife, Livia. He said when he see the star, it was her name on it! Wonderful nice! How adorable he is, for sure Livia would be so proud of her husband. I felt still so proud of him even though I did not relate with just a freaky fan eiei. So I think I should done posting, updating blog via Blackberry is so hard, don't quite familiar with a tiny keyboard so I have to practice more for updating my blog from my office when I'm free.

**End of today I would like to express my pleasure to my English Teachers, Stewart and Brian. The two make me more understand in English than before and they make me know what Colin saying! Even if my writing dose not go so well. Thanks profs.

FIRST DAY and FIRTH'S DAY

For the last 3 months I was never up date anything in my blog since I was blocked by my job ! I never knew how hard to get in real working how hard to make money by myself but now I knew, it's so hard and no enough time to manage anything else just do my work!

No work for 4 days, it's short holiday for new year celebrating. I'm at my parents's home, have no plan to go to anywhere just rest myself and relax by watching Colin Firth's films. I've just bought Genova for 3 weeks ago in Thailand ohoho so amazing ! this film was released in 2008 but in my home town it just released in DVD, no in cinemas! I remember I watched it already on youtube in English version there is no subtitle....that moment my brief understanding is Joe bring his to Italy "Genoa" after he lose his wife from car accident. His older daughter is in love with Italian man and younger daughter has a sixth sense, she see her mom is her dream, sort of. That is all my understanding after I watched on youtube and I will delete all my understanding tomorrow because I'm going to watch it with Thai subtitle ! HooRay!

Enough for GENOVA ! and talk about his awards buzz for his performance in "The King's speech" I do excited about his buzz since his performance in A Single Man, I think he was robbed an Oscar last year but this year if he was robbed again may be there is politics involve for sure! or may be nationalisms because He is not an American (just my point but he spend his childhood in America for short time!).....Now as I knew he was spot by many film's critics for his King's speech and won best actor in many states, USA. The King's Speech was nominated for 7 Golden Globes and the award will be announced on Sunday 16 January ! I'm counting down to see he won the award and to listen his nice acceptance speech like he did last year at BAFTA award. Can't wait !
